[medical training을 받고 있다]:1) 현재시제로 씌어져서 “마누라도 나처럼 정신과 의학 수련을 받고 있죠,”라고 말하고 있는 것은 정신분석의 상대로서 서로 환자와 의사 노릇을 하고 있다는 것입니다. 2)브릴이 그 부인에게 이 말을 하는 것은 작중의 주인공 융박사가 브릴의 부인에게 음심을 갖고 있는 게 분명하고 거기에 대해서 그 부인이 또한 호감으로 대하고 있으며 브릴 자신은 질투라는 정신적 고통을 겪고 있고, 부인은 남편의 질투와 융의 유혹 사이에서 갈등을 겪으니 이 모든 과정이 정신과의사와 그 부인에게는 “의학적 수련”에 해당하는 것입니다. 그런 사정을 브릴이 빗대어 한 말인데 번역자는 마치 “마누라도 의과대학을 다녔는데 의사 자격증은 취득하지 못했다”는 취지로 옮기고 말았으니 엄청난 오역을 한 거죠. 3)이 모든 실수의 원인이 근본, 즉 구문론 단계의 시제 문제를 철저히 훈련하지 않은 데서 야기된 것입니다. 더 자세한 내용은 comments로 대신합니다.

[comments]::1)As we see in the scope of things, what counts is fundamentals. Speaking of the interpretation of the English language, various English messages (verbal or written), that is, you are bound to reach a sober recognition that a complete knowledge and subsequent command of the syntax is the key to a zero- defection interpretation. In short, the English syntax constitutes the foundation and scaffolding of an exposition, which is bound to open the door to the interpretation.
2)I want you the translator to take note of the tense of the paragraph in question. The translator has got it wrong. Utterly wrong in that the translator has misconstrued the statement at issue {{she has the medical training...she can't get a job as a doctor...I can't support her}} to mean to the effect that "she and I went to the same medical school...she was not able to get a job as a doctor." The cause for the interpretational disaster originates from his or her disregard for the tense of the sentences.
3)There is a very interesting scene unfolding before us, in which shrinks, psychoanalysts, that is, exchange banters and evaluations, disparage each other from time to time or "analyze" each other's mindset behind each other's back. In this weird setting, the wife of protagonist Brill, a doctor who is now treating the amnesia of an assault victim named Miss Acton by analyzing her past trauma, acts as if she were also a psychoanalyst herself. She, who is ignorant and had not been trained in the discipline of psychoanalysis, "analyzes" of course her husband who is a doctor and psychoanalyst himself.
4)When Brill refers to his wife, saying {{Do you know she has the medical training I do?}}, he is talking about his wife's pretensions, with his tongue in cheek. What is being hilarious about her is that she is emulating the language of her husband's medical profession, and attacking her husband with the sharp instrument. As amorous overtures are allegedly made from Dr. Jung, around this page, to Dr. Brill's wife, who is naturally going through some sorts of confusion and conflict, Dr. Brill says that "she has the medical training I do." I am not being facetious at all, but the fact is that shrinks themselves are each other's patient and doctor. When Brill mentions {{"my four patients"}}, he must of course have meant by them Dr. Freud, Dr. Jung, Dr. Younger and others.
